RENNY HARLIN (Director) has established himself as one of the industrys most renowned filmmakers, both as a director and producer, whose work encompasses drama, comedy, action and suspense in both film and television.
Harlin most recently produced "Blast from the Past," starring Alicia Silverstone, Brendan Fraser, Sissy Spacek and Christopher Walken. The film follows the story of Adam Webber (Fraser), who was raised his entire life in a bomb shelter, emerging after 30 years to discover a world that is completely unfamiliar to him.
In 1991, Harlin made his debut as a producer with the critically acclaimed "Rambling Rose," starring Robert Duvall, Lukas Haas, Laura Dern and Diane Ladd; the film earned Oscar nominations for both Best Actress (Laura Dern) and Best Supporting Actress (Diane Ladd). Harlin also produced "Speechless" in 1994; the romantic comedy starred Geena Davis, Michael Keaton and Christopher Reeve.
Harlins initial success came with "Nightmare on Elm Street IV: The Dream Master" which, at the time of its release, was the highest-grossing independent film to date. He next directed the hit sequel "Die Hard 2: Die Harder" and, in 1993, Harlin produced and directed the Sylvester Stallone blockbuster "Cliffhanger" (also starring John Lithgow and Janine Turner), which cemented Harlins reputation as a leading action director. In 1995, Harlin directed and produced "Cutthroat Island," which starred Geena Davis and Matthew Modine. He also directed and produced the critically acclaimed "The Long Kiss Goodnight."

AKIVA GOLDSMAN (Producer) debuted as a screenwriter with Bruce Beresfords "Silent Fall" and his most recent project was the science-fiction hit "Lost in Space," which he wrote and produced. His writing credits also include "The Client," "Batman Forever," "A Time to Kill" and "Batman & Robin"all summer hits in consecutive years. His most recent screenwriting project for Warner Bros., "Practical Magic," starred Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman and was directed by Griffin Dunne.
Goldsman graduated from Wesleyan University and earned his graduate degree in creative writing from New York University. His upcoming projects include the screen adaptation of Tom Clancys "The Sum of All Fears" (starring Harrison Ford), as well as the adaptation of the award-winning biography "A Beautiful Mind" for Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. His Warner Bros.-based Weed Road Pictures is currently developing a number of features and television projects.

TONY LUDWIG (Producer) and his partner, Alan Riche, previously produced "Mousehunt" (starring Nathan Lane), the 1995 comedy "Empire Records" (with Liv Tyler, Renee Zellweger and Anthony Lapaglia) and "The Mod Squad," all under the Riche/Ludwig Productions banner.
Ludwig is the former President of Interstar Releasing, which distributed "Highlander 2: The Quickening," "A Midnight Clear" and "Split Second." Prior to that, Ludwig served as President of Imagine Entertainment, where he supervised the production of "The Burbs," "Parenthood," "The Dream Team" and "The Doors." Ludwig began his career at William Morris, eventually becoming a literary packaging agent; in 1976, he formed the literary department at Creative Artists Agency. As an agent there, he was involved in setting up such films as "Stand By Me," "Mr. Mom," "This Is Spinal Tap," "About Last Night," "Lethal Weapon" and "Dragnet."

ALAN RICHE (Producer) and his partner, Tony Ludwig, previously produced "Mousehunt" (starring Nathan Lane), the 1995 comedy "Empire Records" (with Liv Tyler, Renee Zellweger and Anthony Lapaglia) and the recent "The Mod Squad," all under the Riche/Ludwig Productions banner.

Previously, he served as an Executive Vice President at TriStar Pictures, working on such films as "Hook," "Sleepless in Seattle," "The Fisher King" and "So I Married an Ax Murderer." Previously, Riche held several industry posts, including Senior Vice President for DeLaurentis Entertainment Group (supervising "Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure"), Executive Vice President at Guber/Peters Production and consultant to the film unit at Quincy Jones Entertainment.

DUNCAN KENNEDY (Writer), who co-wrote "Deep Blue Sea," grew up on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australiaa popular beach area renowned for surfing, as well as the great white and mako sharks of nearby Moreton Bay. Kennedy attended USCs School of Cinema and Television as a production major, and was selected to direct a film, "480," for his undergraduate thesis project. While still attending college, he worked as a prop and set designer on "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and on the production design team for "Maverick." Kennedy has also co-written the script "Zero Gravity" with John Zinman.

DONNA POWERS & WAYNE POWERS (Writers) have a number of film projects to their credit; their features include "Valentine" (which they wrote and directed for Warner Bros.), "Alphabet City" (aka "Stranger Than Fiction"), "The Grind," "A Whisper In," and "The Attic." They also wrote and directed the short "Taming Power of the Small," which was honored as Best Short Film at the Boston International Festival and The World Festival in Houston.
Television credits include "Against The Law," "Mancuso F.B.I." and "The Equalizer."

DUNCAN HENDERSON (Executive Producer) served as executive producer on the thriller "Outbreak" and in the same capacity for the box-office hit "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York." He also executive produced "The Program." Hendersen counts among his credits such features as "Dying Young," "Green Card" and "Taking Care of Business." He was associate producer and unit production manager on "Dead Poets Society" and "Three Fugitives," and line producer on "Earth Girls Are Easy." Henderson began his career as an assistant director, working on such features as "Cobra," "Rocky IV," "Big Trouble," "Quicksilver" and "Rhinestone," and has an extensive list of management credits, which includes serving as Executive Vice President of Feature Production at 20th Century-Fox.

BRUCE BERMAN (Executive Producer) began his career in the entertainment business working as assistant to Jack Valenti at the MPAA in Washington, D.C. while simultaneously completing law school at Georgetown University. After relocating to Los Angeles, he worked at Casablanca Films and then at Universal Pictures, where he eventually became a vice president of production.
Berman next moved to Warner Bros. as a production vice president. He was promoted to President of Theatrical Production and, later, President of Worldwide Theatrical Production for Warner Bros. Under his aegis, the studio produced and distributed such titles as "Driving Miss Daisy," "GoodFellas," "Presumed Innocent," "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," "Batman Forever," "Malcolm X," "The Bodyguard," "JFK," "The Fugitive," "Dave," "A Time to Kill" and "Twister."
In 1996, Berman started Plan B Entertainment, the Warner Bros.-based independent production company, which was later acquired by Village Roadshow Pictures. Village Roadshow Pictures, where Berman now holds the post of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, currently has 21 projects in various stages of development at Warner Bros. Most recently, Berman executive produced the blockbuster "The Matrix," "Analyze This" and "Practical Magic"; over the coming year he will executive produce "Gossip," "Three Kings" and "Three to Tango" through Village Roadshows relationship with Warner Bros.

STEPHEN WINDON, A.C.S. (Director of Photography), a native of Australia, was nominated twice by the AFI for Cinematographyfor "Country Life" (directed by Michael Blakemore) and "No Worries" (directed by David Elfick). Windons other motion picture credits include "The Patriot" and "Firestorm" (directed by Dean Semler), "The Postman" (directed by Kevin Costner), "Hotel de Love" (directed by Craig Rosenberg), "Rapa Nui" (directed by Kevin Reynolds) and "Love In Limbo" (directed by David Elfick). He also shot second-unit on "Crocodile Dundee II" and "The Rescue," and worked as a camera operator on "Rainbow Warrior Conspiracy."
Windons television films/series credits include "The Bite," "In Pursuit of Honor" (for which he won an ACE Golden Tripod Award), "The Leaving of Liverpool" (ACE Golden Tripod winner) "Act of Necessity" and episodes of "Mission: Impossible," "Prejudice" and "The Challenge." He also photographed "Come In Spinner," "Children of the Dragon" and "Police Rescue," each of which brought him an additional ACE Golden Tripod Award.

WILLIAM SANDELLs (Production Designer) body of work includes two memorable teamings with director Paul Verhoeven: "RoboCop" and "Total Recall." Originally an artist who created kinetic sculptures, Sandells first industry credit was as assistant art director on Martin Scorseses 1973 "Mean Streets." He assisted the art department in various capacities on a number of Roger Corman-produced films before becoming art director on Jonathan Demmes "Fighting Mad." Since then, his production designing credits include "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden," "The Promise," "Serial," "Blood Beach," "Airplane II-The Sequel," "The Wild Life" and "St. Elmos Fire." His additional credits include "Big Business," "Nothing But Trouble," "Newsies," "Hocus Pocus," "The Flintstones," "Outbreak," "Glimmer Man," "Air Force One" and, his most recent, "Small Soldiers."

FRANK J. URIOSTE, A.C.E. (Editor) received an Academy Award nomination for his work on "Die Hard," and was also nominated by the Academy for his work on "Basic Instinct" and "Robocop." Uriostes reputation as a top-ranked action film editor was solidified with his work on such films as "Lethal Weapon 4," "Conspiracy Theory," "Executive Decision," "Terminal Velocity," "Tombstone" and "Cliffhanger." Among his many other credits are "Total Recall," "Road House," "RoboCop," "The Hitcher," "Red Sonja," "Conan the Destroyer," "The Entity," "The Boys in Company C," "The Jazz Singer" and "Midway."

DEREK G. BRECHIN (Editor), a native of Scotland, has numerous editing credits, which include assisting on the blockbuster films "Die Hard," "Total Recall" and "Basic Instinct." His more recent work includes serving as second editor on "Executive Decision." Brechin also was the editor on Roland Emmerichs sci-fi adventure, "Stargate." Most recently Brechin edited "Breakdown" and "The Patriot," directed by the Academy Award-winning cinematographer of "Dances With Wolves," Dean Semler.

REBECCA SPIKINGS (Co-Producer) started her career as the associate producer on "Pyrates," an independent feature for producer Norman Lear starring Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgewick. She followed that with a position at Irving Azoffs Giant Pictures. Recently, Spikings co-produced "Mistrial," starring Bill Pullman, for HBO and Renny Harlins Midnight Sun Pictures. Spikings has worked with Midnight Sun Pictures in various capacities for 6 years. Educated at London University, Spikings graduated with a degree in English literature.

TREVOR RABIN (Composer) was born and raised in South Africa. His musical talents eventually led him to become a member of the internationally acclaimed progressive art-rock group Yes, where he served as guitarist, keyboardist, singer, songwriter, producer and recording engineer. He also composed the groups #1 hit single "Owner of a Lonely Heart" for their multi-platinum album 90125. With Yes, he also served in many creative and technical capacities to create the popular Big Generator and Talk albums.
As a film composer, Rabin scored "Armageddon," "Con Air" and "The Glimmer Man." He co-wrote music for "Fair Game," wrote and produced the title underscore and song for "Eraser" and wrote additional music for the smash hit "Twister." He most recently scored the Michael Keaton-starrer "Jack Frost" and provided the quirky, offbeat score for "Homegrown," starring Billy Bob Thornton. His upcoming projects include the film "Whispers."

JEFFREY A. OKUN (Visual Effects Supervisor) most recently completed over 400 digital and visual effects for "Sphere," as well as work on Adrian Lynes "Lolita." Okun has also provided the wide-ranging effects seen in such films as "The Long Kiss Goodnight" and the award-winning "Stargate," as well as "Cutthroat Island," "The Crow: City of Angels," "Die Hard 2: Die Harder," "Sleepwalkers," "The Last Starfighter," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III," "Suburban Commando," "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" and "Wes Cravens Shocker." His credits also include music videos for such artists as Sting, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Janet Jackson, Bryan Adams, Prince, Michael Jackson, The Neville Brothers and Rod Stewart. In addition, he has worked on a number of groundbreaking commercials, including Reboks "Legends" and "Shaq Attack" and Miller Lites "Sumo High Dive" and "Big Lawyer Round-Up."

Animatronic pioneer WALT CONTI (Shark Action Supervisor) is the founder/owner of Edge Innovations and was head of his own production company called Walt Conti Productions; at different times, he also worked at Industrial Light and Magic and David Kelley Design. Conti holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering with Honors from Stanford University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering & Design from Stanford University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. His feature film and television credits include "Free Willy" and its two sequels (whale effects supervisor), "Anaconda" and "White Squall" (animatronics effects supervisor), "Flipper" and the television series "SeaQuest" (dolphin effects supervisor), "The Abyss" (miniatures by Walt Conti Productions), "Innerspace" (model supervisor) and "Star Trek IV" (whale supervisor).

JOHN RICHARDSON (Special Effects Supervisor) entered the film industry in 1962 at the age of 16 working for his father, Cliff Richardson, a pioneer of special effects who started in the film business in 1921. Together they worked on "The Victors," "Lord Jim," "Battle of Britain," "Help," and many others. Richardson first began supervising films in 1967, working on pictures like "The Devils," "The Straw Dogs," "Young Winston" and "The Omen."
Since working on "A Bridge Too Far" in 1976, Richardson has worked on the six Bond films (and is currently working on his seventh), "Aliens" (Oscar and BAFTA winner) "Ladyhawke," "Willow," "Far and Away" and more recently "Cliffhanger" (Academy Award nomination) and "Starship Troopers" (Academy Award nomination). His other effects credits include "Ghost In The Machine" "Love Affair," "Bushwacked," "The American President" and "Broken Arrow." His other special effects credits include "The Day of the Jackal," "The Great Gatsby," "Barry Lyndon," "Rollerball" and "Superman."

PETE ROMANO (Underwater Director of Photography) works as an underwater director of photography and second-unit director in film, television and on commercials. Romano has designed and constructed (in connection with his company, Hydroflex, Inc.) a variety of 35mm and 85mm camera housings, an incandescent lighting system and other equipment specifically for underwater filming for such clients as the Cousteau Society and Jean-Michel Cousteau Productions, IMAX Corporation, Iwerks Entertainment and Panavision. In 1990, Romano received a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the development of the Sea Par 1200 HMI underwater lamp for "Safety and Portability on Wet or Dry Sets."
His film credits as an underwater camera director of photography include "Alien Resurrection," "Tomorrow Never Dies," "Armageddon," "Lethal Weapon 4," "In Dreams," "Speed 2," "Waterworld," "Flipper," "White Squall," "Free Willy 2," "Free Willy 3" and "The Abyss."
